• Live a happy life in recovery.

• Build a sober support system.

• Build self-awareness and become present-minded.

• Develop new ways for managing difficult emotions.

• Reconnect with your loved ones.

While addressing substance addiction we will also address co-occurring mental health issues including anxiety, depression, and trauma. It is important to begin to heal from underlying mental health conditions when treating substance addiction.

You will begin to understand addiction as an attachment disorder, which you seek comfort in substances rather than with people. Self-medicating with substances provides temporary comfort. Healing from substance addiction helps you rise above your challenges and start moving towards your ideal life with less isolation and more connection.

You will learn new coping skills, enhance communication skills, and focus on relapse prevention. It is important to find new ways to navigate difficult situations without the use of drugs or alcohol. You will develop self-compassion for your wounded parts that will allow you to begin to feel whole again.

I've helped many adults struggling with substance addiction while working in several different inpatient treatment centers. My clients have discovered healing and growth through their recovery journey. It has been a privilege to walk with many people starting their recovery journey.
